JVPNG Membership Rules

Founder Partner Member Visitor Archived

Visitor

Entry level. Anyone who checks in for the first time. Remains a Visitor until the Founders vote them in — no matter how many meetings they attend.

Requirements:
  • Check in at a JVPNG meeting
Obligations:
  • Complete profile: company, phone, and email (all required fields)
  • Sit for a one-on-one / interview with each Founder
  • Purchase a JVPNG member badge (required before promotion vote)
  • Timed spotlight (shared time with other timed speakers)

Member

Full member. Granted by Founder vote after the Visitor has met every eligibility requirement AND won the Founders over in interviews.

Eligibility (checklist — does NOT promote you):
  • Attend at least 4 meetings (eligibility threshold — does NOT promote)
  • Profile 100% complete (company, phone, email)
  • Receive a check-off from EACH Founder individually
  • Purchase a JVPNG member badge
Promotion (how you actually become a Member):
  • All of the above eligibility requirements met
  • Formal vote by the Founders to promote — this is the moment the Visitor becomes a Member
  • Decision is based on Founder feeling from interviews and one-on-ones; eligibility alone does NOT earn promotion

Partner

Leadership level. All Member rights plus superpowers.

Requirements:
  • Invitation and consensus of existing Partners
Partner Superpowers:
  • No timer on spotlight — unlimited time
  • Always in the queue — no check-in required
  • Can run the Conductor and manage meeting flow
  • Priority placement — first in the spotlight queue

How Promotion Actually Works

Meeting the checklist makes a Visitor ELIGIBLE for review — it does NOT promote them. Promotion is a deliberate, manual decision made by the Founders based on their feeling from interviews and one-on-ones. "Eligible" and "promoted" are not the same thing.

Dormancy Rules

Miss 28 consecutive days and you're automatically archived. Partners are exempt.

If you come back, it's a full reset:
  • Status → Visitor
  • Meeting count → 1
  • One-on-one completions → reset
  • Badge ordered → reset
  • Email sequence → restarted
